CHEM 216X - Water Quality: Books & Interlibrary Loan

Searching Other Libraries

It's very possible that you may need to loan books from other libraries to research your body of water. You can do that through a process called interlibrary loan (where we loan books for you from other libraries)!

Try looking in some of these places to find books you need for your assignment:

Locating Items in Van Wagenen Library

When you search the catalog and see a title of interest, click on the Title.

Then look at the Location field.

The first part of the location field  is the item's call number. The call number is a unique identifier for the book, printed on the spine or on the bottom left corner of the front of the book. Make sure you write down the entire call number before you try to find a book. The rest of the Location field will tell you what collection the item is part of and what part of the library the item is located in.  See the maps below for possible locations (Reference, Upstairs Stacks, Juvenile Stacks, Periodicals, Popular Reading, etc. ).
