Finding Articles

If you're looking only for articles--including scholarly, peer-reviewed journal articles--use the dropdown menu beside the main search box to select "Articles."

Enter a few important subject-related keywords in the search box and hit the "Search" button.

You can narrow your results even further on your search results screen. If you're only interested in articles from Scholarly, Peer-Reviewed journals, look for the "Limit To" panel and click the box that says "Scholarly Sources." Your results list will be updated to weed out non-scholarly sources.

General Databases

We recommend you use the MultiSearch searchbox located on the library's homepage. This maximizes your search results and you are less likely to miss valuable resources. Below are a few of the Databases searched from our MultiSearch. Any of our databases can also be searched individually from this guide that lists them alphabetically.

A source for peer-reviewed, full-text articles from journals and reference sources. Databases cover the physical sciences, technology, medicine, social sciences, the arts, theology, literature and other subjects.

Academic Search Complete 

Covering most areas of academic study, this scholarly, multi-disciplinary database contains more than 6,100 full-text periodicals and offers access to monographs, reports, conference proceedings and much more.

Gale Virtual Reference Library 

Gale Virtual Reference Library is a database of encyclopedias, almanacs, and specialized reference sources for multidisciplinary research.

Springer ebooks 

Access to scientific documents from journals, books, series, protocols and reference works.
