PSYC 111: General Psychology: Home

This guide was created in Spring 2018 (and updated in Spring 2020) for students in the PSYC 111 course taught by Professors Corbett and Guerrant. The tabs on this guide offer tips on basic and advanced searching and guidance on how to properly cite sources in the APA format.

Research Proposal Assignment

This guide focuses on the "Psychology in the Media" assignment required in some sections of PSYC 111. A complete description of the requirements and due dates for these assignment has been provided by your professor. The first part of the assignment involves finding two very different types of articles: a popular article and a scholarly journal article. This guide and the in-class presentation accompanying it will focus on ways to find both types.

The "Citing Sources" tab above provides guidance on proper APA citation style and the "Getting Help" tab shows you a variety of ways you can get help from a librarian.
