Fall 2020 Circulation Changes

Exceptions to circulation policies below for Fall 2020:

Due to restrictions to unaffiliated visitors on campus, community patrons may be unable to visit the library during the fall semester.  Please call the library at 518-255-5841 or email at library@cobleskill.edu to confirm access to the library is allowed before heading to campus.

Borrowing Items

Loan Periods

  • Main collection books - 30 days
  • Juvenile books - 14 days
  • Popular reading collection - 14 days
  • A/V materials (DVDs, CDs, records) - 14 days

Maximum number of loan items - 15

Photo ID is required for all loans.

The borrower is responsible for all items checked out to their account in the event an item is damaged, lost, stolen, or returned late.

Renewals

Books and A/V materials may be eligible for renewals.  Items can be renewed in person or over the phone by calling the circulation desk (255-5864).

Holds & Recalls

Community borrowers may not issue recalls, but may request holds on items.

Overdue Fines & Lost Item Fees

Overdue Fines

  • Books and A/V material - $1 per day

Overdue notices are sent to email addresses.

Damaged or Lost Material

Community borrowers are asked to pay the replacement cost of material lost or damaged. A $20 processing fee will be assessed for all lost items.
